Selling?

If you want your home sold sooner and for the most money possible, a modest investment of time and improvements, frequently nets the best results. These tips and techniques are suggested to help you prepare your property to the best results. Prioritize your improvements based on the items that make the greatest difference to the appearance of your house and property.

Most people are turned off by even the smallest amount of uncleanness or odour when buying a resale home. Odours must be eliminated especially if you have dogs, cats, or children in diapers, or are a smoker. You may not notice these odours, but buyers do.

If your house is clean (squeaky-clean) you will be able to sell your house faster and net hundreds, if not thousands of dollars more. Further, if you are moving anyway, why not sell or dispose of items you don’t want. Your storage areas will appear larger and be more appealing buyers.

Remember, when a prospect comes to look at your house, the first thing they will see is your yard and front door. Keep your yard at its best. If the grass is cut, weeds are pulled, and shrubs are trimmed, the yard will appear well kept. Remove leaves, debris, snow, and ice from any walkways. Entry door and adjacent windows should be clean.

Put yourself in home buyer’s shoes. Their tour of your house should give them reason to want to ask questions and return for a second viewing or submit an offer!

Ready to sell?

The thought of buying our first house seemed stressful and frustrating but it was not that at all. You were very proactive and determined to find the right fit! We are enjoying more and more of Lindsay and what it has to offer. You were very patient and stern on not letting us rush into something that didn’t seem right. I have no doubt that you will have a very successful career and that you will please many others in their journey of finding their first house in this very tough market. Thanks so much for the hard work and look forward to dealing with you in the future!!

Looking for a Home?

How do I find the right Realtor to work with? The key word is right.  While there’s no shortage of qualified agents to choose from, it’s important that you find the one who can fully understand your wants, needs, individual tastes, and whose personal and professional judgment you respect.  Above all, look for someone who makes you feel comfortable and whose word you trust. Choose an agent who is familiar with the community. Pick a Realtor who can point out features of the neighborhood and knows where not to purchase. Choose an Realtor who listens and shows as much interest in your satisfaction as in making the transaction. Buying a home is one of life’s most important decisions. A home is where you will live, raise your family, entertain your friends and more. You want to be sure you are choosing an agent that understands that and will make sure they work their hardest to find the home that’s right for you.
Where do I get started?
The first question you’re bound to ask is, “How much home can I afford?” I suggest you try to get pre approved for a mortgage before you start your search. Doing this will help you decide on the home that suits your budget. There are also additional costs to keep in mind. It’s a good idea to work out exactly what you want and what you can afford before you begin the search. Be specific! After all, you don’t want to suddenly come to the realization that your dream house has come with a nightmare of bills and expenses. Stick to looking at houses in your price range. The more you’ve thought it out, the better your sales representative can meet your needs. Research all of your options. This ensures that there are no surprises once you’re ready to make an offer.
